Nico,

Are you certain the movement is a Mark I movement?

What we can see is that the case back, crown and tachy bezel are Mark I, correct?

Nice that you updated your site with this information.

Some day you will add the Id ;)

Hey Joe,

complete case is Mk1a. From my experience it’s often just changed what makes the look ;) they maybe swapped it to look more modern, less radium or whatsoever. In contrary, I have never seen a rusted Sherpa graph movement (yet!).

Since the serial is on the caseback, this is what is relevant for me.

We haven't had an update for a little while... I better fix that!

5007
272.921 landed at the weekend is reporting for duty. Original chrono hand will be re-fitted at some point.

This isn't a new find but was one where the serial was previously unknown.

I felt compelled to review this thread again today, as I have done on occasion.

I notice that a Mark Ia with the S/N ending in "88" seems not to be on the list yet? Have I missed it?

Specifically this one owned by Michael Stockton of Fratello as of 2015.

And this is the article that turned me on to the Sherpa Graph in general and the Mark Ia in particular.

Little did I know back then that I would eventually acquire four Sherpa Graphs in the following sequence: Mark III. Mark Id, Mark Ia and a pristine gray & white Mark Ib.

I wouldn't turn down a watch like the one Michael Stockton owns though! ;)

~ Joe

Note: Recent article here that brings the Sherpa Graph into the same realm as the other "big boy" Valjoux 72 Chronos . . .

Its in the list (thats why the number of known watches is bigger then the shown ones), but not in this list here. Mike didnt wanted to have his complete serial published. I think his serial was blurred in the article, so I respected his wish.

Understood, but we can still identify the watch without complete serial numbers being shown.

It would be nice to see - on the serial number page - an additional column where the total number (#493) is broken down by reference type.

This amounts to another interesting tidbit for those with a passion for Enicar Graph (and Ultradive & Ops) watches.

Someday, it would be nice to see the missing descriptions filled out as well.

Nico,

That watch is about as beautiful as it gets.

I have a collection of about two-dozen watches, four of which are Sherpa Graphs. I'd have added that one given an opportunity. ;)

Although I felt that I would use all of my watches in succession as daily wearers, I find myself mostly switching between the Ohrelius Ia and the Clark Ib as daily wearers. I do take them off when I am working on cars or chopping wood!

Wear the watch in good health.

. . . And if you are ever in a hurry to sell it on, let me know!

Cheers,

Joe
