Hi, I'm the proud owner of a Sherpa Jet Graph which I bought new in 1969.
Hi Folks, watch is currently in for a service and replacement crystal. It has a missing lower pusher which is causing a problem finding a replacement. I've also asked for a new crown. Not sure what happened to the original, lost in the mists of time. But the guy its with seems to think he can locate another but maybe not an Enicar. Once I get it back I'll post some pictures. No particular reason I bought an Enicar other than I was 18 and finally has some money and wanted to treat myself to something nice. Saw a picture of it in a magazine and loved it so bought one. It always got plenty of remarks. But I never really thought it was anywhere in the same league as a Rolex. Turns out its got almost the same Valjoux movement (a 724 rather than the Rolex 72) as their Daytona's from the same period. I did manage to source a new crystal so that's been fitted. I spent a lot of time in Switzerland, because my daughter has lived there for many years. And I've been on trips to see the big watch factories. When my watch is returned I'm going to Lengnau to take a picture of it outside the now-defunct Enicar factory. And I do have Martijn Van Der Ven's excellent book about the firm's history.Hey Joe, thats great! Cant wait to see pics of the watch and hear a nice story, like why did you chose the Jet Graph over any other watch of that timeAppreciate,
Nico
I'll take a look. The guy who's servicing the watch found one - but he wanted £500 for it! No way I'd pay thatI have seen several Jet Graph crowns on the bay recently while searching for a Sherpa Graph (MKIV) crown.
Do you know where to find the correct crystal? I am having a hard time locating one for the Jet Graph.Hi Folks, watch is currently in for a service and replacement crystal.
