I know very little about the Aqua Graph. Most of what I have learned I've read on Nico's Enicar 101 site.
After posting about the differences between the early Valjoux 72 movements used in the pre-1963 Graphs versus the later V.72 movements equipped with mobile stud carriers, I happened upon this Ebay ad for a Mark I Aqua Graph:
So how do we determine that the subject watch is a Mark III AG?:
The movement is a later movement with mobile stud carrier
The case reference is 072-02-02
The serial number looks like it may be 986976
Inside case date is 6/67
Rotatable bezel ring is a later ring style
It seems clear that the watch is an Aqua Graph Mark IIIbut with a complete set of Mark I hands including the thin subdial hands.
Thanks to Nico, even someone who knows nothing can learn something. ;-)
I assume the current owner has no idea that his watch is essentially a Mark IIIwith Mark I hands.
Nice looking watch though.
