Here's a couple of mine that I had out to play with today #brothersfromanothermother

323

Super Divette that my fiancé has taken a shine too and the MK3 Super Dive I picked up from Martijn van der Ven.

The Divette needs a new crown as its been replaced with the wrong one but otherwise lovely.

Show us your watches 😎

Exclusively for Enicar Forum, I am showing here my two last incoming this year with those two Enicar Automatic "Cafe au lait". The dial on the first one is dark brown ( Enicar 147 ) and the other is cream color ( Enicar 167 ). I have a preference for 70s design. I would like to see from the members the other variants of those Vintage Enicar Automatic with their in-house movement ( not ETA ).

I've never seen one with a bezel like that Nico. It looks very cool though . Is it a bakelite bezel?

Here are my two recent additions to my collection.. The Sherpa Guide is my favourite. It gets a lot of wrist time and it is very accurate.. It is interesting that that the Super Dive which is basicaly a simpler version of the same watch was more expensive (ok it got original bracelet). That one is going in for service.

By the way, it would be nice to be able to upload short movies with the watches, since stills does not always make them justice.. (ok I could put a link to Youtube)

A nice couple of additions Petter (y)

I was concerned about using too much hosting space and bandwidth for the videos. Agree though that videos are the way to go sometimes. I'll look in to it again and see how we're doing.

Hey Petkr,

nice Guide in lovely condition. The Super Dive though, is the complete opposite to be honest. Fake Dial, fake inner bezel and some of the hands are also not correct (if not all). I hope you havnt paid too much, but this watch is just worth the parts that are genuine left. Sorry to be so hard, but this is also one of the reasons for this forum, to help people avoid such deals.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, I was somewhat disapointed of the Super Dive, that it was not as nice as I thought when I got it, and I was a bit nervous about the inner bezel. I did not realize, however, that there is a market for fake parts for such a relatively small brand, of course I was afraid it could be Franken. It is what they say when a deal seems too good to be true... I think some you win and some you loose. The Guide was much nicer than I expected. It has a look that makes it look more patinated on a picture than it really is.

The Guide does look great.

Nico is spot on (as always) on the Super Dive. Maybe you'll be lucky and be able to pick up a donor watch? Have you tried getting the back off to have a look?

Thanks,

Steve

Here's my only non EPSA cased Super Compressor Enicar .
The dauphine style copper hands and logo with Enicar signed through it
dates the watch pre 1961 - probably 1959 ish.
I find it interesting for two reasons.
1. It's not often that you see a rose gold plated Enicar.
2. It measures 37mm without the crown and wears more like 38mm .
Rare for an old everyday / dress watch.
The super accurate AR1182 movement is an unusual pinkish / copper colour.

I mostly want watches that I can use. However, i must say this Jump hour is maybe an exception. I need reading glasses to see anything but the hours. It is in excellent condition which maybe is evidence that previous owners also did not found it particularly usefull.

That said I think a digital mechanical watch is wrong on so many levels it becomes cool and an instant conversation starter, and the sweep of the seconds wheel really keeps you looking. It must have been so futristic at the time.
Thinking of adding a canvas NATO to create even more of a contradiction....
