Hello Everyone,

For those of you who have been following my venture of restoring my Fathers Enicar Sherpa Dive 33 to as near Original, here are the up to date details:

Steve kindly supplied an inner Red Bezel which unfortunately proved to be undersized ( Not Steve’s fault in anyway as will become clear down the line.

The Watch maker previous to Brendan Hoey, was to be honest Very disappointing, the gentleman concerned either was not very good or not up to speed with the Make!!

Either way, this engagement caused a loss of the it appears very rare special second hand movement, which was either lost or broken (depending on the email you read).

Steve kindly pointed me on the direction of Brendan Hoey (www.webwatchmaker.com)

This Gentleman is without doubt the real deal, knowledge, experience and real, enough said, you can Trust him!!

The experience with the previous Watchmaker was some what long winded, due to Covid-19, (18 Months!!).

Brendan however was by contrast 1 month from contact to delivery (1 Month), more to the point. Everything was 100%, Brendans communication is so perfect, be that from photographs of the strip Dow to the rebuild.

A Genuine friend now, plus he is also having the Inner Red Bezels re- manufactured…..What more can you say.

This brings me to my final chapter of finding the bracelet that came with the Sherpa Dive 33 when new.

Thanks to Mark in Australia, the Watch head is about to be re-United with its long lost bracelet. This man has ashewed profit for re-Unification of the Union of the parts to allow a completion of a personal task, this must not be understated is this world and I personally extend my personal thanks to Mark as I do Steve and Brendan for there help with closing down the task allotted to me by myself.

Silly what we do, but I am so happy that I have waked this path.

Kindest regards to you all and please stay safe.

Glad you are happy now. I would love to see pics of the watch :) besides the restoration, the fact that he has remanufactured red rings is the best message so far. What is he charging for one?

Great news! Very happy it's all worked out finally and your dad will finally get to see it (almost) as it was!

I've been working with Brendan on getting some of these re-manufactured and the final cost is going to be around £150 (they're being made in the UK). Early stages though but design is signed off and we're now just waiting on a prototype so I can check all is correct. Not sure how long that will take but will keep everyone updated (y).

Hello Steve and Nico,

Thank you both, however I am mindful of a few things (OCD aside!!), The successful inclusion of that Iconic inner Red Bezel and the eventual tracking down and inclusion of that particular White Lollipop secondhand. I feel bad that I hold the previous watchmaker over it’s Loss or destruction!!!!

Steve, I thank you above all for your support on this journey, which has proved to be somewhat bittersweet, given my meeting Father after a 13 year hiatus. His wish to live longer than my Grandfather has come to fruition at the cost of his memory. 2 days prior to Bredan returning the Enicar. My Father and I once again met, unfortunately he is unable to remember anything (Apart from my placing him in the situation by my recollections, so not a complete loss and hopefully a gain for Father in some small part.

Mark from Australia, had to be singled out as an Outstanding individual for eschewing profit to allow me to unite two items in a memory , my thanks to him are beyond words.

I will post Photographs when the Head and Bracelet are recombined and later when the Inner Red Bezel completes the package and I only hope my son Henry appreciates what he is to inherit.

In closing, considering my very real concerns over the previous Watch makers errors, I find myself in my current position, due in the main part to the members of this forum.

THANK YOU ALL

Kindest regards

Indy (David)
