Sherpa Guide MKII,outer bezel in very good condition and all countries can be seen clearly.Outer bezel rotates as it should, inner bezel is not moving!.Ive not tried to remove the bezel to clean as didnt want to damage, the new owner can attempt that.
When all hands set to 12,the gmt hand is at 11,the hour hand at about 58 mins,so all need resetting, although I find it ok!,as not hugely off when looking for the time.
Case is in good condition, case back seapearl is clear, although all text is well worn, but some can be seen when looking using a loupe, some without.
Watch head only @ £975..Sold.

The watch shows some signs of internal corrosion. That, added to the hand misalignment, would make people nervous. At the very least you should open it up and take detailed movement photos.

I have five or six guides myself and am not in the market for more.

Thanks for your reply,I also have some signs of internal and external wear!......because I too am old and not as I was when new....tis an old un,aint new!.

Thats why its now a good price imo and ready for someone to get it serviced. But as your the expert owning a few, what in your opinion do you think its worth taking into account what you think are its issues.
Always open to others view. And any further possible reduction will be because of the issues which shouldnt scare anyone,as that then allows for a service.

I will try opening it,but if my rubber ball wont do it then im scuppered.

Movement shots mean a lot to watch collectors. If your rubber ball doesn't work, then take it to a watchmaker and get them to open it for you. Then you can snap a few photos.

I'm by no means an expert but you learn things as you go along. Servicing can be expensive and some parts are pure unobtainium thus people's reluctance to take a chance. If it doesn't sell here, I would suggest trying ebay. It's more of a wild-west kind of market and people are more likely to take a risk hoping to find a diamond in the rough.

Just have to say I do collect Rolex subs with a few vintage ones so aware of what we guys look for.

It can sit at £975 for now, works fine so cant be a bad punt at £975......Hands can very easily be re aligned......
