Hi! Just joined to find out about this watch. Ive been looking online and find lots of info but nothing about the unique characteristics of this watch. Has the paddle hands- triangle tipped 24hr hand, gold dial ( unless its aged “cream” ) teal seconds hand and th3 126/001 Seapearl 314962 case back. Those are the differences im seeing from the little amount I can find on the internet about these guides 33. Anyone can opine about it? Year? Reference #? Anything?

The GMT hand and the seconds hand are both incorrect replacements. The cities bezel is a service replacement with more cities than the original. None of this is unusual in a tool watch that was regularly used and serviced. When Enicar closed up shop, watchmakers used what they could find to keep the watches running. You should be able to find correct hands without too much anguish.

You can find a few more details here:

I have one of these as well and the 126/01 case back markings are correct.

I'm a big fan of the Guides. Lovely watches to wear and always fascinating to look at. Enjoy!

It has the later, replacement cities bezel as well. The early bezels can only be found by stealing one from an existing watch and are very, very rare in good condition.

I lucked out! Back in January I was given a ‘67 Omega Seamaster 300 165.024 also! I wasn’t even really into watches. I’m on a roll!
