Ocean Pearl? Hands strike markers.

Hi, I picked up this random watch at a market. The mechanism I think works, but it appears the minute hands cannot move from the position between the 3 and 5 face markers. The raised face markers are either too high, or the minute hand is bent inward slightly.
I am currently living in China, and having brought this watch to a local watch repair guy who talked so much bullshit my face nearly melted. I would love to set this watch right as I think it is a charming looking watch, but I am unsure of where to start. I don't want to go bashing at it with household tools. Any advice on how to take care of this watch myself would be greatly appreciated. If by chance there is anyone on this forum with reputable contacts within China who can take care of this watch, please pass along said contacts. Thanks

Hi
It looks like the watch movement would need to be removed from the case, the hands removed and then reset to avoid them fouling on the baton markers. It is unlikely that the batons are set too high. That and a service and crystal polish would work wonders.
Best

I found a watch repair guy in Shanghai who took care of this for me. It cost me 48 USD for the service, and the watch itself cost me 27 USD when I bought it at a market. The repair guy said all the parts inside look original and that none of them are broken/ nothing needed replacing. He showed me some pictures from inside. Of course all I can see are pretty little parts I have no knowledge of. The watch has been on my wrist now for 24 hours with no problem. I think it is a sign of me being old now, but I really like this watch. It reminds me of the watch my grandfather had when I was a child, and it feels great to wear. Very comfortable.

Perfect!!
And the service cost was very reasonable.
There is no substitute for quality and a classy watch will always look classy.
Enjoy it as it is a great watch.
Next stop Enicaritis! (A Doctor Writes: Enicaritis is a well-recognised chronic condition suffered by Enicar watch owners who, once they own an Enicar watch, want to own another, and another and another)

Well, considering I can get them for this price....... I am fairly certain to pick up a few more. I have to do my part to keep the very nice watch repair guy in business.
