Hello,

I just wanted to take the time out to share with you the Final chapter in the story of my Fathers 1964 Enicar Sherpa Dive 33.

Finally after many years an Enicar is given a new lease of life and with the Skills of Mr Bredan Hoey (ewatchmaker@aol.com), who has just reunited the Enicar with its Brand New (Re-manufactured), inner Red Bezel. Available from both Steve Harris and Brendan Hoey).
This process I am informed involved a three hour session on the milling machine. This was to machine a matching groove within the watch crystal to accept the New bezel, the original was a push/interference fit and was subsequently lost at some point prior to being given to me in a broken state.
This inner Bezel can never fall out and be lost due to the machining of the Crystal and Bezel, the fit of the component parts is superb and the outer bezel that was so loose is now like new and in my opinion this is how they should have been produced originally.

I have gone through purchasing several Bezels without joy, but with the continued patience and entrepreneurial mindset of Steve Harris in collusion with Brendan Hoey who took the plunge and re-manufactured these rate items and thankfully what a product as near OEM as you can get.
Finally my Fathers Enicar is now complete.

In closing it would be remiss of me to not also include Mark from Australia who agreed to sell me his original BOR bracelet at a loss of profit, as this was also missing. At the time I understood the lugs to be 19mm, but they subsequently turned out to be 20mm and whilst I know I could get the end links to fit the lugs, this creates an uneven line in the bracelet which is far worse than a 1 mm gap , not to mention the value of making a friend and enjoying the new chapter that has now become part of the watches history.

Sincere and Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has offered advice and assisted in this long journey and just to be clear this is and never has been about bring an item to a saleable condition and I look forward to passing it onto my own son to enjoy in time.
