It has tremendous appeal !!!!!

It's a Minerva!

It's an Enicar!

It's the size of a wonderful Invicta!

And . . .

Most importantly for broad appeal and value, it's an AOPA winged watch!

A quick search did not turn up any information on an 817 CH chronograph movement, but . . . I did not spend much time looking.

Its a Minerva 19-9CH, or a 19-10 movement. ( the movement before the famous 13-20 was introduced) For those with sharp eyes, also look at the arrow inside the circle ( logo) near the balance cock. The dial is in my opinion not original and they put Enicar at the dial, because Enicar prices went high the last three years in comparison with prices of vintage Minerva's. Minerva made high quality watches and movements. Nowadays the Minerva watch company Villeret merged with MontBlanc

Enicar put the Minerva 13-20 movement in some of their wathes, very rare. An other example of collaboration between Enicar and Minerva ,6150

CH817 was the name for the Minerva driven Enicar Cockpit watch. I guess this is also the source of these movements, since we know this clock was in a good amount of planes, but till today I just have seen two part watches. My bet is they were all converted to these nice looking, but fake wannabe Pilot watches.
