Identification and part sourcing

Hello everyone, I just joined the forum to find out more about my newly acquired Enicar watch from my father.WatchInCase.jpg
My dad told me he bought the watch when he was younger and i am trying to repair it. I also want to get to know more about the watch itself.

Some information:
The watch still runs perfectly fine.
It is missing its strap.
It needs to be polished.
The crystal is cracked.
The model is: 160-39-18 Ocean pearl

My questions are as followed:
  1. What year is this watch from?
  2. Is it real?
  3. Does anyone know where i can source parts for the watch? (Strap and crystal)
As a follow up on question number 3:
I was already searching for a new crystal, but I wasn't sure what type of crystal i was searching for. This is because, when i took the old crystal out i noticed it had a metal ring on the inside. Do I need to take that out and put it in the new one, or can i order a new crystal that already has that ring inside? (see crystal picture)

If more information is needed feel free to ask.

A local watchmaker should be able to source a replacement crystal. The metal ring is important and hard to find so don't crack it.

Doesn't look fake to me. If it is old with a known history then it is not a fake. My uneducated guess would be late 70s.

Thank you for your response jbcollier, I'll make sure to contact a local watchmaker for a replacement crystal.
Would you perhaps also know a place where I can try to source an original stainless steel watch strap? (See attached image for reference)

Measure between the strap lugs for the band width. The best places to look are ebay, chrono24, and here. I have seen them on ebay, albeit not often. Just keep looking. Took me 3 years to finally find one part I was after.

Thank you for the tips jbcollier.

It would be great if you can have a look, MatthewT
I am trying to get the watch back to it's original state. So I'm searching for a strap that matches the one in the picture from my earlier reply.

Sorry for the late reply.
My father thought he knew where he could find the original strap somewhere in a box, but to no avail.

The strap you sent looks perfect.
Except when i measure the lug width with calipers i read 19,75mm. Is it still the right strap for it?

It certainly seems like the correct style bracelet. If the bracelet is 0,25 mm too wide it can possibly be filed down to fit.

Well that's perfect!
I would love to buy it from you, what is the best way to get in contact with you for the details?
