I saw a Enicar Super Jet Mk 1 for sale at well regarded Japanese retailer Curious Curio. Thought I would pass this to the group.

Thanks for the "heads-up."

I am in the process of acquiring the watch as I have been on the look-out for a Super Jet for some time, not finding one in especially good condition generally until after someone else buys it. ;)

This one seems especially appealing and the price seems reasonable for 40 mm 33 jewel early version.

It matches the Springbar description perfectly.

Any other thoughts on this watch?

Cheers,

Joe

If you’ve been looking for a Enicar Super-Jet, that one is a stunner… I believe this model was also previously sold by famous Osaka vintage watch dealer Libertas watches, so the current owner who is consigning it must have bought it from Libertas back in 2017

That’s a super nice super jet…if you sell it Joe let me know ;-)
First I have to receive it! ;)

Your dibs have been registered.

The money went out last week and they've indicated they will add the loose links to the bracelet and service the watch. Fingers crossed that they don't make anything worse. I was tempted to to ask to have it shipped "as is," but I did not.

Many Asians have smaller wrist sizes than many of us do here or in the Euro zone. Mine is relatively small at 6 7/8" or just under 18 cm.

One of the reasons I was able to purchase the Mark Ib gray & white was that the fellow who owned it was Asian as well . . . and with a small wrist and he never felt comfortable wearing it. So I got lucky when he decided to let it go.

We'll see.

Cheers,

Joe

These things take a while . . .

Watch arrived in the states two weeks ago . . .

Furnished the watch worksheet to DHL last week while I was on Curacao.

This week I paid the small duty and expediting charges.

Watch should be in my hands for an unboxing the beginning of next week!

Cheers,

Joe

Thank you.

I'll have to start paying more attention to Japan-based watch sources.

. . . a couple more shots which are intended to show how the light plays with the dial among other things!

The case back is polished a bit, but everything is there even if a bit faint . . .

I'm liking it so far . . .

. . . I may hang onto it for a while! ;)
