Did the Sherpa Graph Mark 4 Case back come without engraving?

This MK4 case back is from a transition model with the baton minute and hour hands and the red lollipop Chrono hand. My question is did any of these Sherpa graphs come without engraving or has is simply been polished away?

If that is the case is it best to hunt for a correct case back or just accept it as is?

Sure looks polished to me. AFAIK, they came engraved. These chaps agree:

That's the gray and white one that just sold on Ebay for $4,750.00.

I too believe the case back to have been polished clean of identifying marks.
