Bezel Retaining Ring for Sherpa Guide 600 Mark II

Hello to Everyone, I have recently acquired a Sherpa Guide 600 Mark II. It needs a bit of love and attention. The red city ring is missing and the retaining spring ring that holds the bezel in place is broken. Can anyone point me in the right direction for either one of those parts? The red pointer ring shows up on ebay. There is an orange one up right now and a red one sold just last week. The retaining spring can be made up from suitable piano wire.

Thanks for the heads up on the red ones. I presume old stock are impossible to get hold of? Is it OK to replace with replicas? Also is there any further info or threads on fabricating the retaining spring? Best Rob

NOS ones are out there but hard to find and snapped quickly when they do.

0.5mm silver-steel jewelry wire and bend to shape. It's a fiddle but it works.

Sorry for being obtuse but how do you make the ring complete? Is it soldered or open? Thanks

You could solder the ends but there is no need to. Many new ones are not.

Thank you once again. Does anyone know of any videos or blogs about reconstructing the complete bezel? In so far as replacing the red city bezel and fixing back together etc?
