This watch seems like it is in good condition and the S/N is only about 30 numbers away from my Mark Id.

This one: 562166

I wonder whether the blue chrono seconds hand is original?

I do not see how it can be challenged as there are no records . . . and so I would accept it at face value - pun intended.

Hey Joe,

the blue hand is not original. Look at the length, its to short too. It would have been the first blue second hand, among 400 watches I have in my list. In general I like the combination of a white dial and blue accents like Heuer used in the same era.

Another remark is the tachy scale. Looks like it was grinded or something. Usally its should sit on the dial. Here the dial is above the scale. Nevertheless, for the asked price it still can be a nice buy.

Nico,

As you point out, I see and agree.

Someone who does not own a watch like this one and desires to own one, perhaps may find a proper red central seconds hand one day for under a few thousand Euros . . . and end up with a very good watch. ;)
