No longer then that?Radium itself doesn't glow, it's mixed with another chemical that reacts to the radium and glows. That chemical is eventually consumed and the dial stops glowing. The radium-226 remains and it has a half-life of 1600 years so it keeps emitting for thousands of years to come.
