Hi Guys.

I'm a watch collector, but new to Enicar. I just bought an Enicar Sherpa Graph, Mk IV. It needs a new crystal, a stem and a crown. Can you recommend a brand/size/style crystal and source for it? Also, from reading, it seems like I need a cross-hatched crown (please correct me if wrong). Is the parts marketplace here the best source to secure one? Or any recommendations?

Thanks.

Hey Ken,

first congrats to your new aquisition! Lovely, honest MK IV your got there. Is it possible to see a pic from the backside?

Regarding the parts. The correct number for the crystal is GS-PA482. You will find some repros at ebay, but I can't recommend them, since from my experience they make bad distortions (oval vs round subs). GS crystals are available through some watchmaker pages. The stem should be easy too, since its an ordinary Valjoux 72 Stem you need. Take care to not buy the shortest you can get, cause of the size of the Sherpa case.
For the crown you should start a WTB here in the forums. I thinkt thats the easiest. You need the 6.25mm Enicar waffle logo crown with tap 12.

Thanks for info, Nico!

Here is a pic of the back. It has a 1.2m serial number, and the model number 072-02-01. I think I also need to find a piece of the type of band that is on it (coffin band?), as it is missing three of the coffin shaped top caps. It looks like I could replace those tops.IMG_3583.jpg

Nico, just to clarify on the crystal, I see some GS packages with -50 and -10 suffixes after the GS-PA482. Should the crystal have any of these suffixes, or just plain GS-PA482?

Should be without Suffix. Often there also stand "Enicar Chronographer" (no kidding) on the package.

Will be quite a nice example when sorted, congrats!

I don’t have the correct waffle crown, but I do have plain Enicar crowns, and I’d be willing to let one go.
6.2mm, for 1.2mm stem. If you struggle to find the correct one, may do as a stop-gap, so thought I’d mention it!

Regards
Sean

Thanks Sean. I will certainly keep that in mind. I'm going to give a search for a waffle crown going for just a little while, and then will take you up on the offer.
