Thanks for posting it! It was quite fun to browse through one decade of motorsport, not just Enicar wise ;) Of course there are some answers, but also new questions, like what is the reference of Innes Irelands Sherpa Graph. But I am sure we will find out one day...

We each and all should be able to buy these watches for around $300 to $400 each, depending on overall condition! ;)

Maybe another $25 or so with a nice leather band!

More seriously though, the Sherpa Graphs are finally getting the attention they deserve. They have a storied motorsports history that has been somehow been overlooked though it was there in plain sight all along. Jim Clark was well known -- and to a lesser extent, Stirling Moss -- but not Innes Ireland and, gulp, Phil Hill (!). Aside of being the US's first GP/F1 champion (and LeMans, etc), Phil was arguably one of the nicest chaps on the planet. I loved reading his many Road & Track articles. Innes wrote for them as well.

I must confess I'm not that keen on a tachymetre bezel. It looks cool but it's not that useful in real life, even on the race track. I have one on a Monte Carlo in my vintage Lotus and never ever use it except for elapsed time. I'm getting another Monte Carlo overhauled and fitted with a decimal scale, much, much more useful.

Its interesting that there seemed to be bezel options available for the Sherpa Graph. We especially have seen the ones for filmmakers with FPS bezels. Would be cool to see a decimal as well one day.

Speaking of Phil Hill, this could be a really game changer, since lot of Americans still admire him.

It's nice to observe that you are doing all you can to raise the selling prices Nico. I'm sure we all appreciate it. ;)

I'm joking, of course.

Sometimes, when we only have the written word . . . and no facial expressions to see or tone of voice to hear, it's easy to misunderstand intent.

Haha, no offense taken. Believe me, it hurts me more than you think. I am not done with my collection yet. But the research is hell of fun and why should I hold this info for myself? No, sharing is caring and this pays out in the end, when someone gives you a new lead.

Excellent work Nico!

And yes, the community should definitely overthink the nicknames. Particularly when it comes to the Gerhard Mitter.

Overthinking means to spend too much time/effort on something that is simple.

Rethinking means to reconsider a previous decision/position/stance.

English is not my native language and I simply used the wording used by Nico in the article….

But you get the point. Some nicknames should be reconsidered.

Absolutely understood and your English is better than many native speakers. Just wanted you to know about this particular nuance.

Uh oh, you think SGs are expensive now. Just wait until the Cobra, and F1 crowd find out about this!

You forget the replicas. Lots of those about. Some expensive and spot on, others more on the naff side.
