Enicar in bad shape

Hi everyone,

I am new here. I became interested in vintage watches after I found my fathers watch repairtools. He repaired watches as a hobby.

Recently an old lady gave me a Enicar watch as an extra with an old Seiko watch that I bought her. The watches belonged to her late husband. He tried to clean the dial, but tried a little too hard. Most of the finish is gone and I now have a hard time trying to figure out what type It is. I suspect that the hands are not original and that the second hand is missing. The movement is AR1010 and the watch is running perfectly.

Can you help me identify this watch and maybe help me find a replacement dial and hands? Or would you suggest to keep the watch as it is? IMG_1052.jpeg

That dial is pretty much beyond saving. There are Enicar dials out there NOS on eBay. For example:

It is a case of ploughing through searches and hopefully finding a match. You really need to get the movement out of the case to measure the exact diameter of the dial as your starting point and go from there.
I also have a few dials, so if you can give me the diameter, I'll see what I have.
Cheers

Hi,

Thx for your reply.

My watch dial has a 24 mm diameter. So it is pretty small.
Would be great if you would have a dial that fits. I can’t find the right one on EBay.

Cheers,
Maurice
