OPS question

This OPS does not have an "A" at the end of the model number. It otherwise looks legit for a first series. Appreciate your thoughts...

For the early OPS's the "no-A" caseback looks to be correct. But here not just the corrosion (or Rodico?!) is the problem, also the pant at around 7 o'clock on the bezel.
Otherwise, nice early example.

The crown guards at the sides don't look symmetrical? Might be the photo angle

At first I thought it was a shadow but it is in every photo. Hard to say what it is and why it would be there. I have asked for more photos but no response to date.
