Enicar experienced watchmaker in the US

Good day,

I have recently moved from Europe to the US and my Sherpa Jet seems to have some difficulties. In fact, it seems to run well and strongly, however, from time to time it is just running very slow or even stops running. Seems like a feiction problem with the hands, but I am not an expert at all. Now, since the cases and movements of the Jets are quite unique, I would likely not just give it to any random (vintage) watchmaker. Does anyone have reliable Enicar specialists you could recommend? I had 1 or 2 back in Europe, but do certainly not want to send my watch overseas for a service.

I appreciate your help - thank you

Where in the US are you? Hopefully someone will be able to recommend a skilled watchmaker close to where you are.

I’m in Canada. I searched long and hard for a good watchmaker and shed quite a few tears along the way. One even lost a Jet 33 of mine and years later still hasn’t found it. I finally made my way to Jonathan at Meticulous Watches in Victoria B.C. Canada. Absolutely amazing work and they go the extra mile to get things done right. My collection is eclectic and runs the gamut from our beloved Enicars to aviation, rally and photographic timers and clocks. They are happy to work with them all.

Oh no, a lost Jet33 and still not found, that is really disappointing. Did they at least reimburse you?

I am in northern Nevada, close to Carson City, Reno or even Sacramento would be feasible and within driving distance. Would also be ok to ship within the US, if a reliable watchmaker recommended by one of the forum members here, could be located. Driving distance would be ideal though.

Thank you.

Has anybody worked with Reno Watchworks? Will probably just pass by their shop next week or so.

Hello, I am no help to you but also in similar situation, and maybe me piggybacking on yours will get some more action.

Mine actually runs fine but would like to get it serviced because I have no service history on it. I’m in the Dallas, Tx area and would love to find someone trustworthy in the US.

Also what is considered normal cost for a service.

Thank you.
