I have a few vintage pieces and recently discovered Enicar. Super cool watches. This one is for sale but I don't have the opportunity to inspect in person. Please let me know if you see any red flags. Thanks!

Bump. I think I found an issue. Hoping the experts can weight in. The reference 072-01-02 on the caseback may be wrong for the Gerhard Mitter? It seems most Gerhard Mitter's are either 072-01-01 or 072-01-03. The only evidence of 072-01-02 I can find is this picture below from what I believe is an Enicar brochure. So maybe the dial got changed on this one?

Don’t want to start a controversy, but the only Enicar watch Mitter used is the 072/02/01 (Sherpa Graph MK IV).

Neither of the last two posts is particularly helpful.

Can one or both of you point to an image of Mitter wearing any Enicar watch where the detail is sufficient to identify the watch?

I'm not trying to start a controversy either. I am genuinely interested in learning about what support there is for either reference.

Here we go.

And I just want to erase this naming from the Enicar world in regards to the 072/01/02 etc.. It’s the same as with the pre-Sherpa graph. And you need to start somewhere.

Sorry when this is annoying, but the steady drop…

PS: you all find these pics on Enicar101 ;)

there is none. The connections comes from an old ad, promoting the C-shape Chronograph and showing Mitter at the same time. But not on his wrist or else ;) But this is why the watch was wrongly named "Mitter" in the past.

I ran into similar confusion on a Mitter dial before—fonts can be inconsistent, even among pieces from the same period. I found a few comparisons on bestrolexfactory.com that helped me sort out dial details and logo spacing. Their vintage section isn’t huge but has some clear caseback and dial shots that made it easier to spot redials or odd fonts. Worth a quick look for side-by-side visuals.
