Mine doesn’t. I find that well into the next day it still holds halfway, until I wind it sufficiently. Then it turns.

Many thanks for this. It may well need a follow up service, check up. I find that I need to regularly wind the crown to get it to flip properly. And even when the crown winding does reach a stop after about 10 winds the date still hasn’t flipped. Appreciate your advice!
