They are not common, for sure, but not particularly rare. They came in hour/minute, hour/minute/seconds, and, like the above, hour/minute/seconds/date. I have one like the above myself -- almost had two but UPS lost a near-NOS one :-( They are pretty whacky and everyone wants to see the hour change. But, they are not really that accuate as it's a bit of a guess as to the exact second, or even exact minute. They wear very nicely on the wrist and feel like a more modern watch as they are on the hefty side. Mine is currently out getting serviced and hope to have it back soon.

This is one of craziest watches I have ever seen! Cannot imagine there are many of these in existence.
Thank you my friend!🤗
I love it and it’s a real conversation starter for sure!
There’s a thread here on the forum with a sister watch to mine! 🙏🏻

Thanks for the history lesson, jbcollier! Very interesting. Despite lots of research and reading, it never ceases to amaze me how much there is to still learn even for brands I follow. This is why it's so fun.

Nivada Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver (CASD). That name pretty well covers it all! This is the original vintage model from the 1960s, not the recent reissue. There are a number of dial-hand variations but this one is my favorite. And at 38mm it works well for me. Plus it's a v23 movement.
