Hi Forum, I just inherited this enicar automatic - I assume it is an ocean pearl, it doesn’t say so on the back and on the dial there is no logo ?
147-01-15 is imprinted on the back - does it refer to watch type and or mf-date?
I would appreciate any information.
Thank you!

These models didn't really have a name but we would refer to them as Day Dates and they're from the 70's. Good solid watches with an in-house movement that Enicar produced in large quantities.

Cheers,

Find a reputable watchmaker, have a full service and crystal replacement and that piece will come up a right treat.

147 is the movement caliber. The others are for the case type.

Nice example and yes, a service would be a good idea. As for the crystal, assuming it's plastic, and no deep scratches, then I've used a four-way nail buffer, and Polywatch to restore crystals to almost new condition. However, tread carefully. If you can feel a scratch with your fingernail, then a new crystal is probably a better option. On a dive watch, with thicker crystals, you can polish more off to get a smooth surface.
