Just noticed you are thinking of your Mk1 Guide. Wow, that's even tougher as the early clasps were different as well. Myself, I would chase down a period 22mm tropic strap (expensive enough!) and go with that.
Thank you for the advice. This time after some proper research I think have managed to find an Enicar tropical strap to fit. I have included a photo and yes you were right it was expensive. I do still have my heart set on find a BOR link but at least now I will be able to wear the watch once it’s fixed up

I think they are not that expensive from that seller. Keep in mind the buckles of other brands in the same price category cost up to 200€ and more ;)

Are these the links I am looking for?

The bracelet for my mk1 Sherpa Guide is too short and I know the consensus is that additional beads of rice links are rare but of course I have set my heart on using it. So last night whilst trawling the internet I stumble across a listing for a NOS steel Beads of Rice watch links. The links measure from 15.9mm to 16.2mm wide and are 2.4cm in length. The width of the links appears to be exactly right and the photos aren’t of great quality but the design looks right. So are they what I need?

Many thanks for any help you can give

Hmm, you have the end links and the clasp, you could buy a complete bracelet and just swap those pieces in.
yes, I have the end links and the clasp so just want to add in a couple of links so the bracelet will fit around my wrist

I have never added links to an original BoR bracelet. I understand that it is not like a modern bracelet where you can push pins in/out to remove/add links. Shortening is easy albeit a destructive process. Hopefully others can chime in.

So after all of your good advice and many hours searching the internet my Mk 1 Sherpa Guide is off to the watchmakers with a donor watch, beads of rice links and a new crystal. As Jim Jupiter predicted it’s been an adventure to find it all. Now all I can do is hope the parts are correct and the watch turns out right.

Again many thanks for all your advice
