So what do we think about this Mark I b Graph?

Nico and I and about a dozen other people are wondering about this watch:

456

457

458

Is it possible to have so many watches that one can not "fit" in another one like this one?

It'll need service . . .

I'm wondering whether the dial may be slightly discolored?

It may just be the lighting.

Comments encouraged. ;)

Looks correct to me . Backs in fine condition. Dial looks OK to me if it's a grey example
and not a shaded white dial. Certainly worth a closer look and movement pic.

I am trying to coax Nico out of hiding . . . ;)

He knows more than he lets on . . .

I think the watch may be white rather than gray, but even so, I find it of interest as I do want to add an early Graph with the first execution logo to my collection.

Can it be light gray?

Here's a gray Mark I a that was sold in 2015, I think. I've no idea where it is now:

461

462

463

Looking at these two watches reminds me that the early watches - at least the Mark I a - generally do not have a Saturn logo over the crosshatch on the crown.

My own Mark I d is similar to the Mark I b above.

Even in poor lighting and with a putrid green background, the white dial on my watch shows no contrast between the subdials and the dial as a whole.

464So what color is the dial on the subject watch?

Where are you Nico when we need you? :)

I think if Romuald and Nico are both after it and keeping quiet, that's a good sign for the watch :censored:

Haha, no sorry, I just wasn't reading here the past days. I have contact to the seller, but he is sporadic answering. Maybe he made a deal with someone else, I don't know. The watch though is great and correct. Grey dial with white subs is also correct. Thats the watch we know as the Jim Clark. Fingers crossed he will reply shortly and accept my offer ;)

I too am in contact.

We'll have to wait and see what Tom decides to do.

By now he knows the interest is keen.

The eagle has landed. The watch is in great shape, the case unpolished with super sharp edges. Though it has a small dent at 8:30 in the case and at 3:00 at the bezel. Minute hand were lose and second hand misalgned, but that was an easy fix. Will get a service next week.
A collector friend was so friendly to support me with a 20mm Tropic in white. Same why as Jim Clark liked her ;)
