Just another opinion . . .

Get ready for a sacrilegious comment!

These mid 1960s BOR bracelets are not "all that."

I have an Enicar BOR 20 mm bracelet and I have not worn it with either of my Sherpa Graphs as yet.

Why not?

Mainly because it has open (hollow) end-links and I see this as an issue as it is pretty much guaranties that using the BOR bracelet with open end-links will scratch up the inside of the lugs. I can't see taking the risk with a watch that is not already badly scratched up in the lug area.

And . . .

The clasp is not at all well-made by 21st century standards. There is no "double-latch" safety feature.

In the mid 20th century, perhaps the BOR bracelets of the time are about the best one could expect.

But these days, it is possible to find well-made bracelets with solid end-links which have polished edges sure to keep the watch lugs in fine fettle.

I have a Seiko Alpinist and I bought a Jubilee bracelet for it from Strapcode and it is extremely well-made with a double locking clasp and it is impossible for that bracelet to damage a watch as it has smooth solid end-links.

Nope . . .

My Enicar BOR is not for sale. Not yet anyway. If I can either find or make solid end-links for it, I will use it, otherwise it'll stay in a box for now.

I'd love to put this bracelet on a Sherpa Graph, but for now, it is only available in a 22 mm version.

I hope I just did not get myself banned for life! ;-)

I have an original NOS bracelet for my Aqua Graph (which I'll be selling altogether at some point) but other than that, I don't like putting my Enicars on bracelets (that one actually sits wrapped up in my safe as I was worried it would scratch the lugs as Joe mentioned).

Some of the guys use the Uncle Seiko bracelets which fit perfectly apparently, so maybe try one of those?

Edit: found one on Nico's Mark IV Sherpa Graph -

I’ve had a few vintage watch strap clasps open at in opportune times. Nothing disastrous, thank goodness, but enough to put the fear of god in me. I use modern BOR, modern tropics or NATO straps and save the originals for display.
