I'd like to quote myself ( https://enicar101.com/sherpa-graph-mkia/ )

"Lately I also have seen some grey dials. Its not clear if this was a real dial color you could buy or just a faded black one. "

Next week I will get a grey dial, so I can compare both.

The tan color on the Bulang Ia looks good, but I am thinking that it probably was gray at one time and then subject to some environmental influence that caused it to fade to 'powdered chocolate' in a pleasing uniform manner. I don't think it would look nearly as attractive if the gladius hands were greenish or bluish.

With little to no sign of rust, perhaps it was a warm but dry environment with lots of light? Who knows? ;)

We just dont know. Black Speedmaster in a specific batch also tend to get a nice chocolate color. But yes, its something like climatic influences. The Radium lume is also different to the green we typical know from Enicar Radium lume.

One thing for sure is that it's unlikely to have belonged to Stirling Moss as the first sentence of the ad implies. Also, there's no reason to believe that Stirling Moss ever owned a Sherpa Graph.
The late 1950's advert shows Stirling endorsing an Ultrasonic Sherpa just like this one that I sold earlier this year.

Lots of pictures of him driving cars and some wearing 'a watch' that doesn't even resemble a chronograph to me. Another fantasist hyping vendor ? Or does anyone have a picture of Stirling Moss wearing a Sherpa Graph ? Nice watch though.

No, except for the ad, there is no proof known yet. Maybe we will find something in the book.

Ah yes, just seen that's nicely up to date 😁

Did you make any further progress on whether there were black and grey dials produced? Mine seems to be black in some lights and grey in others.

I am pretty sure both were produced, cause we also see less dark ones in old pics.

Thanks for showing. Your watch of course is in my private list, but I will add it here too! Wonderful example!

I'd love to add a first series IA to my collection.

But . . .

I'd have to stay awake 7x24x365 to beat Nico to the offer though . . . ;-)

Try me Joe :D
But no, these are not all my watches of course!
You have a chance on April 20th. There will be a Mk1a for sale at Bukowskis. Just waiting for the final catalog, but I know there is one for sale ;)
