Planning a break to Spanish resorts ?

Watch thieves are currently rife in Spain and the Spanish Islands.
Apparently the thieves are often gangs of women who are quite capable
of pushing tourists to the ground and stealing any watch of interest.
I know of three such recent thefts. Two were Rolex's.
The worse resorts have been in Majorca, Mallorca, and Ibiza.
Local police don't appear too bothered.
This guy was mugged for his Richard Mille valued at a cool million+.
Be careful out there.

Lots of issues in Spain. I insure jewellery and jewellers for a living and it does seem to be getting worse over there. The police don't seem to really care as was evidenced by my trip to Barcelona where pick-pockets roamed the streets and police stood around smoking cigarettes and not really caring!

Advantage of an underdog brand. I doubt they will punch me for a 60 years old "Eni...what" with battle scarfs ;)

I see very few fine watches in the field myself and I believe the average person tends to think that a fine watch is a gold Rolex Datejust.

I don't travel in he right sort of circles, no doubt.

My ophthalmologist has an office full of clocks, including a fine Atmos and as he once told me, he used to collect vintage watches before he grew out of the obsession. He didn't even notice my Graph the last time I came to see him - a week ago. All the guy did was talk about eyes and eye problems. "Go figure," as they say. :)
