Hi,

I have been looking for an ENICAR watch with an AR 1145 and red date disc for some time now to have it installed in my Super Dive. I have now found an Ocean Pearl 144-39-09 with a well preserved movement.

But I have some questions about this watch: I have never seen these hands with the black tip, is it original? What do you think means the hand scratched inscription MK184075? The dial is golden, at some cells around the indexes the color intensity decreases. Is this discolored and used to be silver? The glass has a copresion ring, but it leaves a small gap, is this normal? Crown is not original, is it dificult to find one that fits?

Hi, First of all in Super DIVE (AR1145B)it is not the same mouvment in 100% like this, there are some diferenses. I have all ofe this watches, Super Dive, and 144-39-09 (AR1145) & 165-39-09 (AR165). Look up to the comparishon in foto.

Inner ring should be silver, if the crystal has been changed the ring may be is not oryginal. Hands looks like oryginal, becous they fits to the buttons.

THX for your informations! I'm pretty shure movement in my Super-Dive is a 1145 without B as well. So is this a wrong movement in this watch?

Inner ring is silver but not long enough, look at about 6.

Black tips on the hands are possibly lume gone foul with mould? Hard to tell from the pics. They do seem to map to the indices little black ends - would be unusual for all lume to have gone so pitch black?

Dial would have been silver. The Tobacco patina is common, especially vintage silver dial pieces from the 50’s thru early 70’s and is seen on many many brands. (Likely due to
dial manufacturing method back in the day).

Tobacco patina can actually be sought after if it’s even and has a pleasing hue. That dial though, perhaps not so much?

The hand etched inscription is quite curious. Nothing obvious to me except MK does hark to horological vernacular and Enicar in particular. Curious.

Crown possibly not original.

Movement is nice and clean so that’s a win.
