Would anybody be able to shed some light (or dark) on this? 167 01 32 on the case back. AR 1147 stamped under the balance. I can't find any other faces like this. It looks old close up, that is contemporary with the age of the movement.
Any thoughts?

Enicar made some weird and wonderful designs on the cheaper end dress watches and this would look like one of them. I would say there were hundreds of different dial variations and with no documents for us to check, it's very difficult to say for any certainty that something definitely is correct.

As for this one, I've never seen the design before and I also don't think I've seen that variation of the Saturn logo before. The age of the dial would pin it as old Enicar though if it is correct. Nothing jumps out at me to say it isn't other than the design of the logo. If you can find any more examples of that, that will tell you enough 👍

When the dial print says 21 jewels and the movement has 24 jewels (engraved next to AR1147) something is wrong.

I think it is an ugly bu**er but it is the most accurate mechanical watch that I have. I don't have Speedmaster or Rolex chronos so perhaps the bar is not too high. The 1147, like ETA 2789s etc, are amazing bits of mechanics considering the prices of the watches they inhabit.
I might not keep this for very long because I don't actually like wearing it but I didn't know that when I bought it. Luckily I have some others to choose from.
Or I might keep it.
Watches, eh? ............

PS. Thanks for the answers guys.

Agree on the 1147's being excellent movements.

I have a bunch of these dials if you were looking for a correct one, just drop me a PM.
