Hello together, I have found this watch in my grandpa's box. First of all I am not 100% sure if it is a real one. Cab you help me with it?

Number on backside: 112-03-01

Thanks a lot
Best regards

Typical entry-level Enicar gold dress. Circa mid-60's but the printed logo instead of applied logo under the 12 inclines me to think perhaps late 60's very early 70's cost cutting. Unlikely to be fake with that crown, patina and caseback - and considering how you aquired it. Crown is the tell that it's all genuine imho as they are often the thing that fails and gets replaced with that style of dress piece.

Enicar sold a bucket ton of similar entry-level Swiss dress pieces around the world during that era. Not particularly valueable per se as the dial has a fair degree of moisture damage. Would likely keep going fine with a overhaul service especially if running but inaccurate - 112 movements were simple and robust.

If you have a decent watchmaker in your locality then you could have it brought back to working order for the sentimental value without too much expense I would think $100~150 (US). Strap looks like it's still got life in it, get some dubbin into it and shine it up if motivated otherwise I'd put that on a dark olive green distressed leather strap and it would be cool to wear knowing it was your grandpa's.
