Hello guys,

Amateur watch collector here. I just bought an Enicar watch on eBay and would like to know if it's legit and around what time they were produced?

Thank you all for your help.20251019_111750-1.jpg20251019_111625-1.jpg

Check if the crown is stamped with the sign of Saturn 🪐. It looks legit to me otherwise (no expert here, tho). As to date of production , Enicar used that logo between the early 50s and early 60s. After the latter date, they separated the Saturn from the brand name.

Thanks. The crown is stamped with the Saturn sign (see attached picture).

Any idea what movement it uses? In your opinion, is it a good purchase?

I'd say it's legit. Idk what movement it has, but opening the case should tell you or your watchmaker. Is it a good purchase? Well it depends on what you paid for it, and if it is running well. It seems to be in good cosmetic condition, and I think it is an attractive low key model. So I'd say you made out all right 👍

Here is a genuine back. Look at the engraving:

I don´t think that the back is wrong. The only thing is it is not a compressor case.
MS means Brass / chrome brass, sweep second central.
The first Ultrasonic with compressor case came in 1955.
Maybe the watch is an earlier model ?
I could see the number 44 already on some backs but I am not sure about it's meaning.
