My Fake Enicar

Bought this cheap online watch from taobao.com for about $10.00. It is a new watch, not old. Has Automatic on the dial face and embossed(stamped) on back but when I opened it up I find a quartz Miyota 2035 movement with "CWMJ", not sure what that means. The watch case is not deburred in places, the band seems to be made of stainless steel and tin? On the face, the rings are printed on top of the planet. 21 Jewels but of course the movement has no jewels.
Can't believe anyone is capable of making a watch for only a couple of dollars. I think this watch doesn't even deserve the term "fake", more like a fake fake.
Strangely, I am wearing it.

The off-kilter dial logo is pretty cool.
Yeah haha. It would be pretty interesting to see their machining to produce dials and cases and stuff. Do they hand-draw the rings? Is someone building these in a garage? What sort of production numbers? Must be an interesting story about producing fake watches in there somewhere.

Why would anyone try to fake such an inexpensive watch

It is crazy but even Casio watches are prone to being faked believe it or not.

This is one of the great mysteries.

Enicar owners are desperate for parts so why not just make good quality crowns, hands and dials? You really could make a killing with a quality product.
