€8,250! Was it you Joe?
Nope!
The winner was a relative novice bidder with only 14 prior eBay purchases, but for all we know, he could be an experienced collector?
When one thinks about the price of a vintage Rolex GMT or some of the Autavias, 8,250 EUR is not so crazy for a Jet Graph in such good condition. But then, the other prices ARE crazy, so it's all relative.
It was a matter of timing for me, Steve. I was considering bidding higher than the winning bid, but as I hinted, I was not committed. I am putting an addition on a summer home and doing all those other things that go along with such a project - so not this time.
I do prefer an early addition Jet Graph to a similar vintage Aqua Graph though.
(Saw my case of 'mistaken identity.' )
I am most definitely a novice eBay bidder and I probably overpaid, but I thought the watch looked in very fine conditions and decided to go for it.
I’ll let you know if it matches expectations once it arrives, to join its Sherpa, Aqua and Super graphs brothers...
Cheers
