Hi again,
I´ve been winning auctions again and theese beauties dropped down in the real mailbox the other day:

First a crazy Sherpa Star in excellent condition with Enicar box, sadly not the original box for the watch but still an Enicar!

And last, but not the least, my new favourite....a 1965 Sherpa Date with the Super Compressor case and black faced:

I had a vintage Tropic that I think suits the watch better:

Congrats. Great pickups—especially that black Sherpa date. You don’t typically see them in that nice condition! 😍👍

Many thanks! (y)
I´ve also heard that the black dial are maybe a little more unusual...?
The silver-dialed variant seems to be more common in this model. Not sure why that is but that makes sense based on how many of them tend to pop up on the vintage market versus the black. Very unscientific, I admit. And can’t say this for sure.

The same can be said for the Supertest. You very rarely you see the black-dialed Supertest.

Hi All,
I’m Gary. I followed Steve here from TZ-UK (not that he knows it). Long time fan of Enicar watches, particularly the Sherpa Guides, although I know very little about them. Which is partly my reason for being here, to learn a little more. So very happy to have found another resource dedicated to the brand. My contribution to the photo gallery is a Mk 2 Guide.

Hi Garry
A very warm welcome to the Forum, very nice fresh looking Guide you have there 👍 . Been a long time member of TZ myself but now find it a bit argumentative at times for my liking so Enicar forum a nice calm knowledgeable place to be 😊

Thanks for the welcome. Looking forward to dropping by and hopefully learning a bit. It’s already cost me as I purchased a copy of Time for a Change.

A common thread amongst watch collectors seems to be a passion for cars too. And I suppose I’m no different as I have several. Pride of place (for purely sentimental reasons) is an MG Midget. No frills classic motoring. Love it. 😀

Interestingly, a well-regarded Seiko watchsmith in the states (Spencer Klein of Spencer Klein Vintage on IG) is restoring an MG. :) Following his restoration journey, now I want one!
