Greetings from Canada!

I am new to the forums and I have developed an interest in acquiring a vintage Enicar. Although I don't have an Enicar watch yet, I am particularly drawn to the beautiful design and colours of the Sherpa. I recently got hit with a vintage watch bug and acquired many vintage Seiko watches, mainly divers and chronographs and now I would like to expand my collection.

I hope to learn more about Enicar watches on the forums!

If anyone would like to see some of the watches in my collection please stop by my Instagram account here: @mostlywabisabi

Thanks!

Hi Terry,

Great to see you here and you've obviously made a great choice in being interested in Enicars ;)

Have you got a copy of Martijn's book? That would help you narrow down what models you like as the Sherpa name covers a wide range of different models. What ones in particular caught your eye?

Hi Steve,

Of particular note, the Sherpa Super Jet really catches my eye. I am hoping that I can acquire an all original in good condition, preferable with the beads of rice bracelet too.

I will be ordering the book, it looks fantastic! Thanks.

Hi!

I am also from Canada (BC!) and recently got bit by the vintage watch bug, in particular Enicar! I just received my first one in the mail!

Welcome, Terry!

Seiko is my favorite brand after Enicar. It seems that many other Enicar enthusiasts also have a deep affection for Seiko.

I've actually been researching the connection between the two brands. (The one obvious connection is the Mantagraph and Monaco, but I've been exploring how the two companies influenced each other, particularly in the 1960s and early 1970s).

I'd be curious to learn the crossovers you see as you get deeper into Enicar! ;)
