I think he mixed up his price with a Jet Graph ;)

Shouldn't it be worth nearly twice as much because Martijn photographed it for the book and it was once owned by a world-class collector?

I'm taking a course just now entitled "How to become a world-class collector" in the hopes that one day, anything I touch doubles in value. I can then offer to touch watches for a fee. :)

Charlie - Awesome model, I like the simple, clean design. And awesome to know that you joined the forums!

All jokes aside, what's the potential upside for Enicar? I imagine in 5-10 years time, as the overall watch market increases, vintage Enicar Sherpa prices will slowly increase and this price won't be so egregious? I also own a Enicar Super Jet with Silver dial, and I'm not sure I would ever sell it (much cooler than buying a modern Rolex GMT in my humble opinion).

Thanks! I don't know what the future holds for Enicar, but it is certainly deserves as much love as any other brand. Hope they don't rise too much because I wouldn't mind getting myself an Ultradive one day (my favorite one below).

Agreed, keep the Enicar. There will always be modern GMTs.

On a side note, I ended up seeing a few cool Breitling EPSAs the other day. I'll have an article with them, but in case anyone is interested there's some good sections within the recent Breitling book 'The Navitimer Story'.

I don't know much about Breitling other than the Navitimer and Unitime.

Back in the 1960's there weren't that many GMT/world time watches, but Unitime was one of the ones that I also liked in my research. A few others were:

Rolex GMT
Zodiac GMT
Enicar's Sherpa Jet / Super Jet
Glycine Airman
Patek Phillipe World Time

Of these watches I think I liked the Enicar design and Rolex the best, but the Unitime also is super cool. Are there any others I missed?

There was a another breitling gmt watch too (I try to remember the name /edit: no it was the unitime too, just another Ref 😁)and don’t forget the several Valjoux 724 GMT chronos, other than the jet graph. Like Heuer 2446 gmt, 2446c GMT, breitling Navi timer GMT and some more less known brands.
