A beautiful Mark IV watch from 1968 , the dial is white with a lovely grey bezel and correct hand set with orange chronograph hands . The dial has very well faded match tritium markers. The case looks as if it might be unpolished, the angles on the lugs are very clear and sharp, the back has the usual amount of wear associated with these clam shell backs. I believe that the movement has been serviced fairly recently , the watch certainly runs well and keeps good time . The watch is supplied on a black tropic strap with non Enicar buckle.
The watch is priced at £5,000 which would include insured delivery within the UK IMG_4457.JPGIMG_4448.JPGIMG_4454.JPGIMG_4455.JPGIMG_4456.JPGIMG_4451.JPGIMG_4452.JPG

WOG Is the trade mark for Breitling. I have several.
Movements that passed through breitling's workshops on the way to being fitted to a breitling case were stamped with WOG. Other makers had their own letter codes. Think of it as a breitling movement hall mark.

Hm, but were Breitling V72s also in copper? and if yes, arent the V72 Breitlings way more rare, then the Enicars?
Btw I was speaking to an Enicar watchmaker last year, who told me that the V72s of Enicar watches were build by Heuer.

My Wakmann/Breitling V72C triple date I beleive is quite "rare" in the fact that I have only seen a few over the yrs of this older ( 50s- early 60s ?) style of dial, mostly you will see the bolder type faces/designs prob later 60 to 70s.

I have owned this particular one for around 45yrs, bought off a Breitling watch maker no doubt long left us by now. (I am now 68 young lol) , anyway, you asked of the colour of movements of Breitlings, I can assure all that this has never been touched and is original to the day it was made, please see some hastly taken pics of mine, still working faultlessly .

Looked at this type of information many many yrs ago, this is one of many.

"As an importer and manufacturer of high quality timepieces, Wakmann Watch Company was founded in New York in 1946, and became known as experts in the world of chronographs and multipurpose timekeeping. At the time, the US had increased duties on imported Swiss watches, which opened the door for Wakmann to partner up with Breitling. Wakmann would receive a batch of nearly complete watches from Switzerland, which would then undergo final assembly before being sold under the Wakmann name. Beyond “re-branded” watches, Wakmann also supplied timekeeping devices for the Armed Forces, U.S. Government, commercial airlines, and radio/television studios as part of their Breitling relationship. Later the company would be purchased by Breitling and absorbed into the larger and more successful umbrella."

Hi
I really like your Sherpa Graph, please can you share with me as much as you know about any work that has been done to it, for example, has it been redialled/new hands. It is seems a very clean example. I am also in the UK, the North West to be more specific, where abouts are you based please. How long have you owned it?
Many thanks
Carl

Hi Carl

Thank you for getting in touch , I bought the watch in March 2021 directly from one of the administrators on this site , it was recently serviced and runs very well.

I have probably not worn it for more than a day since then as I have quite a few watches. I wouldn't think that anything will have been altered or changed with the watch. The watch is a very clean and fresh example of this rare silver/white dial Sherpa-Graph.

I am based in the UK and can easily send the watch to you fully insured , it would be covered by distance trading laws whereby you can return the watch to me for a refund if you were not happy with it.
Let me know if you would like any more details .

Thank you

M
