This was purchased by my Dad in the 40's or 50's. From what I've read it is very rare. It works but is missing the crystal. Any info would be appreciated as to value and other what nots. I am also looking for a restoration specialist.

Picture I found online of one like it-- but not the original band . Quote from the poster of this picture---- Enicar also made alarm watches like this one from the 40ies. Its a rare watch that i guess had a white dial from the beginning and uses an extra crown to set the alarm time. The second hand has a red arrow at the font and the alarm setting hand has a blue arrow. The case of the watch is in pretty bad shape and as you can see the crowns been worn down and are now missing the Enicar logo. I have never seen another model like the one I have. .1866

Any good watch repair shop should be able to find you a crystal.

Rare? I suppose so, but not particularly valuable. I have one in excellent, original condition. I think I paid a couple of hundred.

If you don't mind please post a picture of yours and show the band plus the back of the watch--THANKS!!

Great!! Thanks for the pics. Looks like our dials are slightly different and my second hand has a red arrow.

The topic title says 'Self Winding' which suggests an automatic movement.
But I don't think this watch has an automatic movement.

These early Enicar alarm watches usually have a manually wound A. Schild cal. AS 1475 inside like this:

1873

The AS 1475 movement was introduced in 1954. So if the watch has this AS 1475 inside, it was made in 1954 or later.

I will take a very close picture of my watch. Slim your watch looks like mine but my face is smoother.
