Hello all,

I picked up my grail Enicar today for an absolute bargain price. Can anyone recommend the best place for a full restoration? I'm not after anything that will ruin the history of the watch, but I want to find an Enicar expert who will look after it properly.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Really nice find. I bid (unsuccessfully) on one of these last year, and I think the hammer price ended up being like €9000. Thanks a lot, Ed Sheeran.

The copper salts around the dial edge are a bit concerning - it's definitely had some moisture intrusion in the past. That said, the lume looks really good and the picture of the movement doesn't show any signs of major water damage. I think you might have a winner!

I hope you can find somebody reputable to service it.

$1,200USD 🤣
I'm in Australia
That is cheap ! And with the faltering US$ versus the A$ , even better. I'm in Australia as well. Coffs Harbour. If you look for a normal Service, most older and seasoned Watchmakers can do it. If you need parts for this Service ( which easily could be in the Automatic setup ), let me know. My Watchmaker still has Parts left. Congratulations. Achim

Matt at Horology Biology AKA Vintage Enicar. More to the story, it is possible this could be a polish navy issued watch due to the case back modifications.

All Ultra Dive's from MW, I've seen, we're always engraved on the left side Flank. Blancpain outside the Back. All other MW Divers don't follow that Pattern .

This discussion detail was on Enicar Super-Dives for the Polska (Polish) Marynarka Wojenna (hence MW). And these models were engraved as described above, which you can see on varuous online resources (depicting, among others, also my watch which is engraved on both, its left flank and caseback).
