The pics are still super small, I cant see anything to be honest. Could you try again? Just upload the pics from your fotoroll.

Thanks, Nico

Not a Graph expert by any means but it looks like a Mk4 to me.

They all had writing on the backs: model number, serial number, descriptors, etc. The engraving was not very deep and is easily worn/polished off. Add to that the fact that people will try to open the backs with the wrong tools. This leads to scratches and gouges which are then often polished out.

Here's a Mk4 which still has its proper back engravings:

Here's a Mk3 and you can still just see its engraving:

I say MKIV to. The caseback was just found on the MK III and MK IV, but in the MK III range we dont find a "big subs" dial like this. The ones in my database are more grey than white and allways with a grey tachyscale, but at least the tachyscale could have been atached by customers choice. More on the MK IV you find here:

this is a similar watch:

Thanks All . I wondered if Mark 111 case back has no writing other than Sherpa 300 ? I found an arrival gives the dates and description of Mk 1,2,3, 1V and the Mark 3 was the only one with pictures of the back with no other writing the Sherpa 300 with the pearl insignia ?

Btw the MK III on enicar101 is also my watch and it is polished. Usally the MK III caseback is also full of information, like this one:

In short, all the Sherpa Graphs had engraved writing on their backs, no exceptions.

It is, however, not uncommon to find backs which have had the engraved writing polished off.

Many Thanks All very informative how much does the writing being polished off detract the value ? and what approx value would you put on the watch show above being a Mark V1 ?

Prices are in flux right now. They shot up with the Enicar book being released and the financial markets doing well. Financial markets have turned, luxury markets are depressed, and collector watch prices "may" be headed downwards. As always, the price is what the buyer is willing to pay and the seller willing to accept so any single sale price is hard to predict.
