I'm in the market for a Super Jet Mark I or II to accompany a treasured Mark III sold to me by @JimJupiter (thanks! still looking for a crystal!). I'm not thrilled with this one on eBay, but please share your opinions. Vintage Enicar Super Jet - eBay. Mine are after the photos.
What I see: while the photos are crap, it's clear that the dial has issues: I don't think the patina on the inner bezel is going to be to my taste, and the hands have lume loss and the 24-hour hand looks like it has a fade which isn't very appealing. The case is pretty banged up and looks like it's had a polish or three, and apparently someone tried to open the back with a chisel at some point. But if it sells near the current asking (at $890 right now) and the buyer gets lucky and most of the issues are in the photos or on the crystal, maybe this would be a good price for a middle-grade watch. But I am going to pass. What are your thoughts?
