Ebay Italy buy - Sherpa Graph

Hi there,
love reading all your insights. Now I have a problem with which I would love your guys opinion on.
I bought a sherpa graph Mk IV on ebay: https://www.ebay.de/itm/254569990750 thought this was a fair price (2.944,00€) and the watch look in "ok" condition. I think the crown is a replacement and the reference seems not correct (there is a lot of wear) but other than this I did not see much more confusion. What do you think about the watch?

Secondly, the seller only wants bank transfer and send me (I did not ask for this) a really shady looking Italian ID document. He refuses to use paypal or any other "ebay secure payment method". Do you think there are fraudsters on ebay using pictures of enicar graphs? I think this would be a crazy niche ^^ but everything is possible these days.

Yes, crown is not correct (and they haven't shown a picture of it which doesn't help) but otherwise it looks OK (@Nico is the expert here, so he will probably correct me if I'm wrong).

I never trust eBay auctions that only accept bank transfers and have such a low feedback count. They don't appear to have sold anything similar either. Perhaps offer Paypal and you'll cover the fees?

Yes, there are fraudulent auctions on ebay. Refusing secure payment methods is not only a bad sign, it's also against ebay policies.

Scam for sure.
These Pictures are from an old eBay auction which ended 24.11.2019 for 4405£.

And there are many trys for cheating with Enicars in eBay. I would guess 1-2/ month.
Not very good ones, but they are there.

I will flag him with ebay now and keep you posted. If you are interested I can post our email conversation, maybe this helps to prevent some other fraud.

PS: where can you search through old ebay auctions or find the one you mentioned?

Hi August,
No problem. I keep track of that for some years and gladly my brain remembers pictures very well. You can't See this old auction anymore (or at least i didn't find it when i wanted to share it Here)...
If i find a way, i will do it later.
