that there are more Mk1b out there. I have a "new" MK 1b in my list that indicates that the batch is 400 watches and not just 100. Anyway, rarity is not allways linked to value.

Do you have any pictures of the new Mark 1 B. In the in a car book and pretty sure it says approximately 100 were made. I know of two

The book used my table. Thats the problems with books, they could be outdated at one point when new insights appear. Thats why u alleways find a date on my tables.

Thats the watch I have new in the List, Serial 722.170, so 200 numbers higher than the other known MK1b's. I havnt added it to the guide yet, cause its very close to an Aqua Graph batch. I need more data (equals watches) to confirm in one or the other direction. My guts tell me we definately will see more than 100 watches.

Not sure when you bought yours, Steve, but everyone paid a lot less for everything even just a couple years ago! Prices for good, original examples show little sign of coming down. And it's a double-edged sword, right? We'd like to see prices come down so we can acquire more at a bargain but we want prices to rise so our current inventory gains in value.

My one has been in my possession for just a couple of weeks. Perhaps I was lucky but the Sherpa Graphs do seem to be pretty 'hot' right now and lots are going for near or over record prices for their respective models or configurations. It will be interesting to see if the pricing pressures are sustained or not when the world economy rectifies itself a little and we all get a bit more of normality.

Lovely 1b though Nico. Be interesting to see if any more pop up.

The Sherpa Graphs are on fire (with good reason). A couple nice ones (MK IV) popped up on C24. I think one was first listed for sale here some weeks ago.

When I consider what I have paid for similar Heuers, Universal Geneves, and Zeniths, and what these are fetching today, the SGs are still undervalued in my eyes.

Or it may be that certain other watches are overvalued?

But we can agree that one of Paul Newman's personal Daytonas was clearly worth at least $17,752,500.00 . . . to someone. ;)

It was probably a case though where just one other bidder drove up the price! Double ;)

It's back. Buyer must have suggested a price or asked for an offer but did not accept. Or they reached agreement but funds did not clear. Not so uncommon on C24.

do you think that watch is worth 13 k plus 10% taxes plus 200 shipping so that would end up being a 15k watch. nice watch but it doesnt even have a enicar metal band e.g BOR, jubilee, oyster.. any of those would add close to 1k in my mind and really make the watch.

Many of the original metal watch bands of the day, including Enicar bracelets, are not really well-made by today's standards and they may put the watch at risk of damage or loss as they generally do not have safety catches.

There are exceptions such as for the bracelets made for the higher-priced watches of the day, but even the better ones cannot 'hold a candle' to an Uncle Seiko, Strapcode, or MTH or O.E.M. Seiko bracelet.

I have an Enicar logo BoR bracelet that I will sell at some point. The quality is just not there.

That said . . .

What is the watch in question worth?

Let's see who buys it. ;)

I feel it is overpriced, otherwise I might have thrown my hat in the ring. But I have said that before about other watches that then sold, so who knows. It only takes one buyer. The watch looks great but about that caseback...
