I’ve hardly ever seen a black dial Jet Graph with these hands before! Well, atleast it matches the car!

Special Thanks to Dave S - a true gentleman & scholar!

Is possible frankenwatch as the second hand is too short and it's clear that the loom has been redone on the panel hands, still a very nice watch I particularly like the black dial as it's a lot easier to read than the work one a with the silver pie 10 sub dials

The hands look like they've been replaced for sure...but I think Frankenwatch is a bit too harsh given that it was purchased from such a well known collector.

I will not opine on the definition of what makes a frankenwatch, but the watch defines the collector/seller, or more accurately the representation of the watch. The collector does not make/define the watch. Without knowing how the seller represented it, I cannot say if he/she was above board, given the incorrect and relumed hands.

We discussed the hands when purchasing the watch. I was made aware that they were replaced at some point. To me, they do not take away from the watch in the least when I have it on the wrist.

yes its a very cool watch, and the mk1b is one of the rarest of all the sherpa graphs. they are so rare, that i wouldnt even know what the market is. There is a forum where they have price guides and on that they say that a jet graph in excellent condition is worth 8-10k dollars and then add 20% for a mk1. Anyhow its a cool watch, enjoy it.

Much appreciated. I'm really unaware of the market for this watch as I didn't buy it to sell it. My main focus now is to get it serviced by a well known Valjoux 72c master watchmaker before I enjoy it on the wrist!

what country are you in? There is a place called watchArtexchange in the US that does world class work. I have several aquastar benthos 500s that have this unique timer, that is usually broken and almost no one in the world can fix it, and they did. Their work is guaranteed, for at least a year..

I'm in the UK. My watchmaker is probably one of the only living on the planet who used this movement for his own watch.
