does this seem legit?

Hi Enicar Forums!
I hope you are all well (and healthy!)
I've been getting quite obsessed with Enicar recently and am considering dipping my toes into the murky waters of eBay. I was hoping to get some advice.

I am considering this one here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-En...365375?hash=item3b46d3f0ff:g:qmQAAOSwkoVetkH~

I love the Art Deco arabic font. Everything from the photos of the movement and the positive seller reviews seems positive. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts.

I am also considering this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Enicar-Sta...420261?hash=item3d97b7f425:g:cegAAOSwh~pd09Hv

I hope it's okay that I'm asking here. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

best,

Mike

Hi ;
I don't see anything untoward with either, but the first one is more important than the second.
I have owned a couple of these 1957/ 58 EPSA compressor cased watches.
Some are inscribed Seapearl on the dial and others on the case back. The back shows the 4 leaf clover
design indicating whether the case is open or closed. It is also inscribed Brevet 314962 and the 14
facet case lock is correct. However, all of those scratches show that previous owners didn't know
how to remove it correctly. The movement looks clean and the crown looks correct with the
Enicar logo and without the later cross hatches. The 'Dauphine' hands are typical of Enicar's
of the period.
The 'bund' strap looks inappropriate and makes the watch look smaller than it is.
Asking price is a bit heavy but not outrageous .

I second that—if you opt for one of these, I’d go with the first one. It looks like it was serviced recently, too. This art-deco design was quite charming and still is. Here it is in gold with a slightly different dial:
