A pair of Mk II Sherpa Graphs on Chrono24 - one sold immediately

Despite my mentioning that prices on Chrono24 are negotiable, this assumes that a listing is languishing for a long enough period of time when the seller decides to make an adjustment.

A Japanese seller put up two silver sub-dial Mark IIs within the past 24 hours and the better of the two sold immediately and is now gone without a trace. ;)

It would appear that the one on the right sold for the listing price.

Here are the two serial numbers:

and the "left-over"

If one is willing to spend $9K for a watch that is in barely OK condition at best, why hesitate when for 20% more one can get a near-perfect example.

Personally, I am holding out for an early Mark I.

Cheers,

Joe

Interesting how many of these dial combination Graphs we especially see in Japan.

Looks like another Mark II is up for sale from the same seller. S/N appears to be unreadable.

May just be a recent pattern (i haven’t been tracking Sherpa graphs for that long...) and biased by this seller’s inventory, but any reason why the there would be so many Mark II specifically in Japan versus other graphs?

It's unsurprising when a couple of a similar reference show up at the same time. It could be a matter that a collector has passed on and pieces of the collection become available resulting from an estate purchase.

What is unusual in this case is that all three are the same in appearance and at least two of them are close in range, 601814 and 601922.

It's a mystery to me. ;-)
