1005 CH P

Hi all,
I'm glad I found this forum. I'm pleased to find other Enicar enthusiasts.

Need some help ....maybe someone can steer me in the direction of sourcing a crown and probably a crown/stem combination for my 1005 CH P.

It's a wind-up watch, so not very useful without a crown....

I'll add a picture of it....
Whatever help you can provide will be greatly appreciated !!!

Thanks in advance,

Jesse

Those chronographs came with Venus 188, Valjoux 23 or Valjoux 92 movements (that I know of). Parts are available. My watch repair chap had no trouble with mine (I have a V188 and V92 version).

Thank you so much...i’ll Look into those...
Mine should have a 92 Valjoux....
I’ve been to three Urhmachers - NYC, Houston and Frankfurt...and they weren’t able to find replacements....i’ll Keep searching....so so can use it again....

I am not recommending the suitability of this part. Your watch should be checked by a competent watchmaker and he/she will be the best judge of what is required.

If you could pop that back off, we could have a better look at what you would need. Not always easy on those type of casebacks though!

Yes,
I can do that. I've tried to remove the winding stem, but the screw holding it in place is ~ 0.8 mm. I only have a 1 mm flat head at this time. I have tried to rotate the holding screw 2 + 1/3 turns, but still nothing on getting the winding stem out. Enicar customer support had no thingBack removed.JPG for me.

So definitely a Valjoux 92.

Be careful with overdoing that screw. If you turn it too much, it won't screw back on and the stem then won't stay in.

A good watchmaker can easily service a Valjoux 92 movement and parts are available (mostly on eBay). @paulb12 on here has some good contacts I think for the US.

OK Steve...I got hold of a very, very tiny (0.5 mm) flat head screwdriver ....and I pulled them stem.

It took 2-1/3 turns of the set/holding screw to release it.
Here are the pictures....The last and only watch maker I took it to seemed to have grinded the end up quite a bit, maybe to fit the only crown he had.
Now, I really want to find an original stem and ...hopefully (..a big hopefully..) original ENICAR crown for this beauty of a watch.

A very big THANKS to you, Steve & ...JimJupiter and paulb12 (above) for helping and supporting me in this.....

Do you know the crown type and size for this model?

About the crown - I believe it is a domed crown, dust-proof type...for mine - gold in color. non-gold color below from similar watch.
As for the stem - I have found that it may be W2153 or a Valjoux 92 #401 stem

Finally, installed in the watch and now I can wind it again and working perfectly...
So, the stem is a little long, I need to trim it down.

But the watch is winding and working well.......

Thanks to all of you helping me find the correct part....
